Picking

Picking loosens and separates the fibers in preparation for the carding process. Some debris will drop out during this activity but it is not a substitute for cleaning a fleece to begin with. Other colors and different fiber types can be added during this process to begin desired blending.

MACHINE PICKING

This includes fiber and color blending before carding. Amounts under 1 lb. and portions of additional pounds are charged the minimum per lb. price.

HAND PICKING

When fleeces can not be machine picked but must be opened before carding.   We do not hand pick fleeces for debris or guard hair.

PICKING ONLY

Picking in conjunction with no other service.   We do not hand pick fleeces for debris or guard hair.

BREAKING TOPS OR ROVING

Produces four (4) to six (6) inch pieces for blending.
