DeHairing & Vegetation Removal
Dehairing and vegetation removal is based upon the weight at the start of the process. It is done with the greatest of care using a specially built machine capable of removing a majority of guard hair and vegetable matter.

Picking with other Processing

 This includes fiber teasing and color blending before carding. Amounts under 1lb. And portions of additional pounds are charged the minimum per lb. Price.

 Picking only. Picking in conjunction with no other service. We do not hand pick fleeces for debris or guard hair. See dehairing & vegetation removal above.

Spinning Information Spinning prices include blending, carding, drafting, singles and plying. Washing and dehairing, if needed are additional. There will be some loss during processing. However, all charges, except washing and dehairing are based on the weight of finished product. Yarn will be put up in skeins--the yardage of your choice. Cones are also available. All fibers to be spun must be washed and grease-free. Fibers, including guard hair, may not exceed 6" in length. At this point we are running all 2-ply yarns. There is a minimum of 3 pounds due to losses and set up time. Any one lot over 20 pounds has a discount of 10%. Questions? Please call 503-263-4902 or Email ffibers@web-ster.com.
